The McLaren Mercedes SLR might no longer be in production but that hasn't stopped German tuner edo from building the 712bhp SLR Black Arrow.
The Black Arrow can be identified by its matt black body and 21-inch edo wheels. Inside, the SLR gets leather/Alcantara bucket seats, an Alcantara steering wheel and carbon fibre pieces for the dash, centre console and door trims. In-car entertainment is provided by a new custom sound system featuring navigation, phone, TV and iPod integration.
Under the bonnet the supercharger drive ratio has been changed and the ECU reprogrammed. Combined with a free-flowing exhaust system the engine develops 712bhp and 656lb.ft.
Performance claims for the Black Arrow include 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds with 186mph coming up 21.1 seconds later. Top speed has been 'limited' to 214mph.
The modifications were carried out by edo competition Motorsport in Ahlen, Germany.
